August 28th - Timeline
Wednesday, August 28th, is the day of our wedding!
Our wedding ceremony will be held at the Grand Staircase at the historic Allegheny Courthouse at 436 Grant St, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Guests will be expected to pass through security, so please allot enough time to comfortably arrive. Guests may arrive as early as 2:00 PM for seating. The ceremony itself will occur at 2:30 PM.
After the ceremony is complete, wedding guests are invited to join us for a reception dinner from 5 PM to 8 PM, at the Melting Pot at 242 W Station Square Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. If you haven't done so yet, please fill out the food preferences survey asap (right now) so we can plan ahead!
Following dinner, guests are invited to travel on the famous Monongahela Funicular (it's roughly a 5 minute ride) to the Overlook on Mount Washington. Once there, we will admire the view of the Pittsburgh skyline at night.
At 11 PM, Alice and Bob will depart for Union Station in Pittsburgh, where they will leave at 11:59 PM for their honeymoon. Guests are welcome to wave goodbye to us at the train station (for those that haven't already headed off to bed for the night!)
August 28th - Dress Code
Attire for wedding day will be dressy summer attire, with a preference for ivories, beiges, pinks, and browns.
Please wear clothes that you feel comfortable and happy in. Please also keep in mind that it will be a summer day that will involve moving around and that Pittsburgh weather is unpredictable.
Men are suggested to wear slacks, a polo or button down shirt (no tie required), and dress shoes.
